The industrial park “I-Park Lemminkäinen” invites the Swedish production companies to Kaluga Region in Central Russia

Lemminkäinen (www.lemminkainen.com), is carrying out its project of industrial park in Kaluga region, Central Russia, named I-Park Lemminkäinen. The land site of I-Park is located in the heart of Russia on the crossway of all roads running to the neighbouring Russian areas, Ukraine and Belorussia. The industrial site covers the territory of more than 700 ha, 135 ha of which are privately owned by Lemminkäinen. The own land site is now prepared for construction of production facilities and warehouses and all the compulsory documentation for the utilities’ connections is obtained.

A great deal of work has been done since late 2007: Lemminkäinen has signed the Investment and Cooperation Agreement with Kaluga Regional Government and local district authorities; during the year 2008 development of the project has been continued by entering into the contracts for electricity, water and sewerage connections as well as by starting the construction of the site infrastructure. In August 2010 Lemminkäinen started the construction of the first plant for the Finnish manufacturer of packaging plastic film.

The companies establishing their manufacturing operations first time in Russia need a lot of support, provided by Lemminkäinen and its partners. «When the problems related to the land ownership and infrastructure are solved for the customer, it is easier for him to focus on the quick realization of the overall investment, utilising our western contracting model. As known, keeping the promised production start-up date is the most important thing», – commented the Senior Vice President of Lemminkäinen Talo Oy International, Mr Juha Höyhtyä.

Our target is to build in the following years approximately 15-20 production facilities and logistics centres, mainly for international investors. Investors are offered a variety of sales packages in which all matters concerning land ownership and infrastructure connections are taken care of, and the facilities are constructed in western practise, ensuring high quality. In this way companies investing in Russia get the possibility to be established at the country’s growing markets quickly and at a minimum risk.

We would like to offer the international production and logistics companies a possibility to locate their facilities in the I-Park Lemminkäinen and benefit from the cooperation with Lemminkäinen, the multinational construction expert on the Russian marke,.
