Arkhangelsk International Forestry Forum devoted to 75th anniversary of the Arkhangelsk region.
The Event is to discuss the following questions:
- The role of the Arkhangelsk region in the development of the forest industry in Russia. Achievements, problems and prospects of integration into the global economy;
- The development of multipurpose (integrated) forest management;
- Introduction of national (federal) control system to ensure the legality of timber production;
- Introduction of European Union regulations for the control of timber control, and consequences for Russian wood/paper exporters;
- Improvement of forest management systems and legislation aimed at preventing and extinguishing forest fires.
The format of the Forum is made up of plenary sessions, round tables and seminars.
The Event will be holding a special exhibition in parallel aimed to demonstrate modern technologies in wood processing sector.
