The 2nd World Grain Forum (hereinafter – the Forum) will be held in October, 2016 in Sochi.
The Forum is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
The upcoming Forum will focus on finding effective ways to reduce the negative impact of sanctions on the Russian economy, the creation of conditions for the formation of new strategic alliances, positioning of the Eurasian Economic Union as a new player on the world grain market, the development of international cooperation in the exchange of knowledge and technologies.
It is expected that the Forum will be attended by 2 500 delegates, including representatives of major Russian and foreign agribusiness companies, industrial unions and associations, official foreign delegations from more than 50 countries, heads of international organizations and financial institutions, the federal executive authorities and foreign bodies of agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, leading Russian and foreign scientists and analysts.
Business Program of the Forum will include more than 20 events, as well as meetings of the Russian Federation leaders with representatives of the Russian and international agriculture business, heads of foreign delegations and international organizations.
The Forum will open with a plenary session “The Grain market in new realities: challenges and opportunities”. The Gala reception with the concert program for the heads of official delegations and international organizations, leaders of the major agricultural companies, participants and guests of the Forum will be organized on the same day.
Panel discussions, conferences, round tables and business forums on a wide range of issues of grain production, products of its processing, infrastructure development will be held on the second day of the Forum.
More than 250 accredited representatives of Russian and foreign media and news agencies, more than 40 federal and regional media partners will be carrying out information support of the Forum. It is expected to hold different announcing events such as interviews and press conferences at the federal media. Press center and online broadcasting of the key events of the Forum will be also organized. Moreover it is expected to design the website and mobile application of the Forum with e-registration function of visitors, exhibitors and media.
