Swedish-Russian Conference on Business Solutions 2010

An independent Swedish law firm "Lindahl" invites all the interested companies to attend the Swedish-Russian Conference on Business Solutions on 14 September 2010. The Conference will be dedicated to the practical aspects of preparing for and conducting business in Russia. An official from the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation is among the speakers of the Conference.

Russia is currently Sweden’s thirteenth largest market for exports and fourth largest market for imports. We see an increasing number of Swedish companies operating in Russia and the interest in new business opportunities in the East is growing.

CROSS-BORDER COOPERATION: THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION, THE EUROPEAN UNION AND NORWAY

VI Annual International Conference

In 2005 - 2009 on the territory of the North-West Federal District the first five-year cycle of the annual international conferences on cross-border cooperation between the Russian Federation, the European Union and Norway was accomplished.

Traditionally every year focus of the conference shifts on practice of the cross-border cooperation of one of the border regions of the North-West Federal District:                     Saint-Petersburg (2005), Republic of Karelia (2006), Kaliningrad oblast (2007), Pskov oblast (2008), Leningrad oblast (2009). Cross-border cooperation of the Murmansk oblast was discussed as one of the main issues during the Murmansk economic forum (2009).

During the period of its existence the conference «Cross-Border Cooperation: the Russian Federation, the European Union and Norway» became a recognized platform for development and support of multifaceted contacts between leading Russian and international experts, representatives of national governments, regional and local authorities of Russia and border states, non-profit organizations, institutions of the European Union, international organizations, representatives of the academic community and business companies.

Margaritinskaya Fair


Since that day when the first Russian sea port Arkhangelsk was founded, the Margaritinskaya Fair was the most significant event in trade-economic life both in North -West Russia and in the whole Russia. It was the first international fair, the first Russian “window” to Europe, the main “visit card” of Russian trade in Europe in the 14-17th centuries. Merchant ships from England, Holland and Denmark annually came to the Northern Dvina banks.
